ACAMIS FILM FESTIVAL 2026

This year’s festival theme is “Human Connections

We’re shifting away from last year’s focus on AI to highlight human connections and cultural relationships. Students may submit films in any genre, as long as their work reflects this central idea.

For example, students can choose to present a coming-of-age story that explores internal or external challenges. Yet these experiences differ greatly across regions — what growing up means in Mongolia might look very different from in Thailand or China. We encourage students to bring elements of their own culture and context into their films.

Your movie should be 5-7 minutes long. The movie must not show nudity, sexual content, or the glorification of violence, alcohol, or drug abuse. These are the usual rules also for DP film students. Your local film teacher and representative will make sure your movie abides by these rules before you can submit it to the festival jurors.

Below we will introduce you to the categories of the awards and the jurors.
